This fascinating talk charts Jessica’s career in embroidery from training at the Royal School of Needlework, working in costume at the Royal Opera House, teaching needlework in a high security prison and being a member of the team who embroidered the wedding dress and veil for the now Princess of Wales! She has also demonstrated embroidery to HRH Her Majesty The Queen and taught at the V&A Museum as part of their exhibition ‘Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up’.
Jessica shares personal stories and anecdotes along with examples and images of her work and information about the organisations and people she has worked for and with.
